The
Sella Ronda is quite possibly one of the most scenic bicycle routes in the world. It encircles the
Sella massif in the heart of the Dolomites, and features four mountain passes: Passo di Gardena (2121 meters), Passo di Sella (2213 meters), Passo Pordoi (2239 meters), and Passo di Campolongo (1875 meters). We rode the circuit three times -- twice counter-clockwise, and once in a clockwise direction. Any which way you go, there are twisting switchbacks and amazing views (and yes, motorcycles!) galore. Luckily, only once did we get soaked by the afternoon rain showers.

But the rest of us got there eventually |

Looking back at the many switchbacks, which are also very popular with motorcycles and sports cars, especially on the weekends |
